Let’s just do it…
Change, fine, “let’s just do it!”. Well, know: a mindset, a culture, certain behaviors, norms and values. You don’t just change it just like that. And, as human beings, we don’t like to change. See an image below which may be very recognizable.

Turn around the ship
A number of models have been developed that can help you tackle change. But first I would advise you to watch the very inspiring video below. In the video a story is told by David Marquet. He was the captain (read: a leader) of a nuclear submarine in the US and explains in his story how he changed his mindset with regards to leadership end lead by example, earning the highest ratings in the entire navy.
David Marquet always wanted to be a captain on a submarine and finally got that chance. He had spent a year studying the submarine he had been assigned to, “The best ship of the fleat!”. However, 2 weeks before he would start working, he was assigned to a (totally) different submarine. He was semi-obligated to adapt, change his leadership style (approx. ~10m.):
